今年9/19〜22に仙台国際センターにてSSDM (Solid-State Devices and Materials)が開催されます。当会議はデバイス
材料等に加え、回路分野のセッションもあるなど広い分野をカバーしている非常にユニークな国際会議でございます。
特に当Areaにおていは、デバイス（MEMS、センサ等）と回路の境界・融合分野、デバイスモデリング等の論文
（２ページ）を募集しております。締め切りは5/8でございます

皆様のご発表、ご参加をお待ちしております。

We are pleased to announce that 2017 International Conference on Solid State Devices and Materials (SSDM2017) will be held in September 19-22, 2017, at Sendai International Center, Sendai City, Miyagi, Japan.

SSDM is the largest conference on solid state devices and materials in Asia. It has been held for more than 45 years by the Japan Society of Applied Physics. In SSDM, researchers in solid state devices and materials field have been given to present their latest findings, by which SSDM has made a significant impact on solid state devices and materials world. SSDM aims to help promotion of domestic and international collaborative research activities in related fields by facilitating vibrant exchanges of views among researchers and engineers from many different countries, leading to the development of the electronics industry.

The venue, Sendai, situated in central Miyagi Prefecture, is the largest city in the Tohoku region. Sendai is also known as the "City of Trees”. There are rows of beautiful zelkova trees along the main avenues, Aoba-dori and Jozenji-dori. In the Ichibancho shopping area, which crosses Chuo-dori Avenue and runs parallel to Aoba-dori Avenue, a delightful shopping excursion with local shops and many small stores is available. After shopping, relax and dine at any of the 3,000 restaurants, all clustered around Kokubuncho, located on the west side of Ichibancho area. Near the Sendai city (it takes about 1 hour by train from Sendai station), there is one of three great views in Japan, Matsushima. (City information is available at http://sendai-travel.jp/)
